It is very lightweight and is roughly equivalent in weight to 2 bed sheets. The blanket is actually made up of 2 different fabrics that is stitched together at the edges.I love the cool side of the blanket. It glides off the skin almost like silk and is very cool to the touch. It feels similar to the fabric found on an Under Armour running shirt. In fact, my Dad has an Under Armour shirt and the fabric looks and feels just about identical to each other (same color and pattern). Maybe that's why it feels so cool and is able to wick away moisture.I also tried the other side which feels good but does not cool as well, which is why it is advertised as the warming side. The warming side has traditional cotton feel, much like on a quality jersey knit t-shirt.Overall, I think this is a great cooling blanket. I generally prefer heavier blankets, but when it gets too warm in the summer, I don't really have a choice but to use a lightweight blanket, and so this fits my needs quite well. However, there are 2 things i can think of that would make it better: 1) having more color options and solid colors instead of the speckled/stripe look and 2) having both sides being made of the same cooling fabric. I find it slightly inconvenient that i have to check what side is what before using it. And sometimes when i toss and turn during my sleep, the warming side touches my body which i try to avoid.We have AC and we also use ceiling fans. We leave temp at 78 all day and all night, using the fans to keep it cool without the AC coming on all the time. I needed some kind of cover besides a sheet. I used this with the solid blue on bottom the first night and the flipped it to the top on the 2nd night. That seemed to be the comfort level I wanted. But 4 days later, my husband says “you have quit snoring since you turned the blanket over”. Not what I was expecting from this blanket. Now he is asking for one. We have a king size bed and share a sheet and we each have a blanket of choice because I sleep hot and he sleeps cold. We will seebe prepared to have a new adult "blankie".My life has changed since purchasing this blanket.I can't stand being warm when trying to fall asleep, and this blanket is so soft and so cold.I can't live without this now and might just order another to keep in the living room.11/10 just order it. you won't regret it.I love this lightweight blanket it’s been especially great for the hot weather. When I get under the blanket flipped to the cold side it feels like a huge ice pack. I will be recommending this cooling blanket to others.Don't know how it works but it really does. I liked mine so well I bought 2 of my friends them and they really liked them also.Soon after this arrived I had a hot flash. I wrapped the blanket around me and it cooled me down! This is the 5th “cooling “ blanket I’ve bought and the others all sit in the closet. I want to make clothes out of this!!I have been searching for just the right light summer blanket to use without a top sheet. I’ve bought and returned two others before finding this one. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It’s has a cool feel with a great drape across the body.Anyone that gets hot flashes or even just hot at night this is a must I absolutely love mine
